Yunha Kim, the founder and CEO of Simple Habit, wasn’t always a meditator. Instead, it took her being a stressed-out former investment banker turned startup leader on the brink of burnout to give meditation a try. Once she did, Yunha finally felt the relief her mind and body was craving and never looked back.
After selling her first startup and pursuing her MBA at Stanford, she began envisioning a new kind of meditation app—one specifically aimed at busy people like her. This led to her to leave Stanford and develop Simple Habit. Now, it’s the #1 rated meditation app in the App Store and the 2018 Google Play Award Winner for Standout Wellbeing App.
In 2017, Yunha was also honored by Forbes 30 Under 30 and Marie Claire's New Guard.
Today, Simple Habit features more than 2,000 sessions based on situations like sleeping, morning anxiety and lack of focus. Busy people rely on Simple Habit’s short meditations and audio therapy sessions from world-class experts to reduce daily stress.
Yunha’s also on a mission to combat high levels of burnout in the workplace. The World Health Organization recently classified workplace burnout as an official syndrome in the International Classification of Diseases. Simple Habit has a curated series of 5-minute meditations and audio therapy sessions specifically to help burnt-out individuals receive the help they need, when they need it.
